Sooooo.. there are many different ways to “build” a burger. One of OUR favourite ways is to build a burger STACK. What is a STACK you might ask? A stack begins with a blend of stacked veggies and sauces on the bottom and then topped with a burger and cheese! These are great for those who eat gluten free or for those looking to spruce up your average burger. The best part of these are all the ways you can customize it, you can do a different burger each time!
Ingredients: Burger (makes 6-8 patties)
– 2 lbs lean ground turkey – 1 egg
– 1 shredded apple – 1/2 cup shredded onion
– 3/4 cup chopped dried cranberries -salt and pepper
-1/2 tbs minced garlic
Mix all ingredients into a deep bowl using your hands (they are the best kitchen utensil!)
Form into 6-8 patties depending on what size you like.
Grill on a medium heat BBQ for about 10 minutes (5 per side)
Just before they are done top with the cheese of your choice and let melt.
Once the burgers are cooked, place them on top of your chosen “stack”
